  1. what's new in version 1.04 :

  3. - A little program called typeedit.exe is added.
  4.   This program is used to add records to the filetype.dat file.
  5.   This file contains records with information about recognizing files
  6.   (multimedia files).
  7.   You can use the program to see what's in the filetype.dat file.
  8.  
  9.   example : a gif file can be recognized because of the string "GIF89a"
  10.             that's in a gif file on offset 0;
  11.  
  12.  If there isn't a "real" string that can be used as a "fingerprint"
  13.  a hex-notion of several bytes can also be used. Every byte uses 2 chars
  14.  ( like 08) and bytes are separated by spaces. (like "01 02 03".
  15.  The records added will be used to determine the MIME-type "automatically"
  16.  when a user wants to send a file.

  19. - Another program is added to make configurations needed in the atismail.cfg
  20.   a bit easier. This program can be used for the variables in the atismail.cfg
  21.   file and for installing MIME viewers. It can't be used to setup the encryption
  22.   and signing methods
